Meant to be viewed as an installation on a large screen with surround sound,
this video captures a performance of images and sounds that were created in
virtual spatial environments, in real time. Representative of a large body of
contemporary visualizations, META_EPICS uses algorithms to determine the
form of digital images and sounds and the relationship between them. Divorced
from a more traditional concept of music composition, it is this interaction that
places META_EPICS within the realm of so-called Visual Music. |
