Pixelsound is a simple investigation of the minimal relationship that can exist between sound and the pixel as unit of the digital image. Using digital pictures of the artist’s dog as the source, a movie clip was generated from a programmable and customizable .avs patch, which was processed to obtain a pixilated look and feel. The clip was then edited and accurately time-remapped to effectively link it to the sound.
