Fire is primal. It satisfies all our needs. It warms us, enables nourishment and stirs our deepest passions. It mirrors our soul and protects us from danger. At the same time, it is dangerous and evokes fear.
The hearth is an ancient focal point for recollections of the past and creating visions of our futures. Shaman used the flickering light and shape shifting shadows to bring their visions to life in the minds of their fellow beings.
